Its a short walk to the Hamlet beach access, restaurants, shops, and the Carolina Beach Boardwalk. Fort Fisher Aquarium, Freeman Park, and Pleasure Island's best fishing spots are all a short drive away.

This classic 1954 cottage is very private and tucked away for quiet relaxation, yet its just moments away from all the fun in Carolina Beach. Walk to the beach and boardwalk, its only a few minutes away! Private 3 Bed/2Bath home. Comfortably sleeps up to 6-8 guests across three bedrooms and sofa bed. The screened porch with fan rests under a 150 year-old live oak tree for bug-free morning coffee, evening cocktails, with sea-breeze in your hair. The kitchen is fully equipped for home-cooked meals, and the open living area gives everyone room to spread out after a day in the sand. Large living room TV, high speed internet, DVDs (old school), and board games are provided. Appliances: full size fridge, dishwasher, oven/stove, microwave, blender, and toaster. Fully stocked kitchen: Dishes, pots/pans, utensils, drip coffee pot. Bed linens and 6 bath towels provided, as well as hand soap, dish soap, shampoo and conditioner, trash bags, and paper towels and enough toilet paper to get you started. High-speed internet: WiFi available throughout the home and smart TV in main living room. Pet Policy: Well trained pets welcome with fee. Two pet limit, one time $150 pet fee per pet applies. Please let us know at time of booking if you will be bringing pets and how many. Backyard is fully fenced and we're a short walk from the Carolina Beach Lake and loop trail and the island greenway. The non-refundable pet fee applies and is spread evenly across your nightly rate at checkout. Please clean up after your dogs promptly — the outdoor space should be left as you found it. Dogs must stay off furniture and linens. No other animals please. Arrival & departure: Check-in is at 4:00 PM via keyless PIN — your code arrives before you do. Checkout is by 10:00 AM sharp. Due to our cleaning team's schedule, early check-ins and late checkouts aren't available at this property. Please don't park on the premises before check-in or after checkout. Unapproved late departures may incur a $200 fee. Care of the cottage: Our team takes great pride in this little gem. Please skip the bleach on anything during your stay — our cleaners handle that between guests. For the stainless steel appliances, stainless-only cleaners please — anything else causes rust and nobody wants that. No incense or essential oil diffusers — scents linger and some guests have sensitivities. Smoke-free property: The Hamlet Cottage is 100% smoke-free indoors. Smoking inside will result in a $200 deodorization fee. Outdoor spaces: Long screened in front porch with ceiling fans is perfect for sipping coffee while watching the sunrise or catching up on afternoon work. New spacious outdoor patio and private outdoor shower is great for family and friends after a long day at the beach. Enjoy yard games, relaxing sunsets, or a quick walk to the best restaurants the island has to offer. New full-sized washer and dryer were installed in July 2026. Parking : 2 free spaces available: 1 spot located in the driveway and a second directly next to it in the driveway, Please be respectful of our neighbors and avoid parking in their yards. We have provided an EV charger with a J1772 40 Amp cable. Guest Access : Private access to entire cottage (3 bed/2 bath) We also have an outside shower located in the backyard that you can use during the summer. Entry through front door and back door. Keyless PIN code lock on front door that is specific to you, and is deleted upon checkout. Visitors: Any additional visitors beyond the booked party must be approved by the host in advance. Rental agreement: A short rental agreement is required before check-in. Straightforward, quick, and in place to protect everyone.
